The house is surrounded by urban jungle so the idea was to bring the nature in . This played a major role in designing the living room of this house. We could have choosen to put a typical botanical wallpaper but we preferred to add that little extra effort by commissioning an artist to have some fogged mountains on the wall. To later the wal we added a decorative light at the corner and staged the space with a low side table which was a perfect spot for evening coffee.
The living room by the shape of it was very open and didn’t give any privacy to the space so we carved out a foyer by adding a screen dividing the dining space and thus creating zones like foyer, living room and dining with a side board.
Even though the room was now broken into zones it was still united by a very light tone of grey which was on walls and stretched to the ceiling thus creating a illusion of height in the volume.
The dining table was custom made at site . We were lucky to get a perfect match of tile with main decorative laminate which became top for dining and center table.
The son of the house is a big fan of foot ball and basically he wanted the entire room to revolve around the tones of PSG AND messi recent club. We loved the tones but looking at size of the room any bold color could overwhelm the space pulse there was a requirement of storage as well besides wardrobe we also needed to make space for guitar, badminton and 3-4 footballs as lot of books so we made the entire shell in white with little black details and focused on the PSG tones in the bedding. We did get an request form the client at later stage to add shelves on wall to make space for marble action figures. IKEA shelves came to rescue with times that fell perfectly with the room.
The master bedroom has a little bit of boho modern feel to the space. We kept the finishes basic but added some oomph by adding shelves strategically thus creating fun and scope to play with space for the client once we are out of the picture. The cotton texture in fabric the soothing blue in the rooms created a young and cheerful vibe to the space.
Common bathroom was in combination of terrazzo looking tile with wooden flooring and accented by Matt black Cp and sanitary form JAQUAR.
And Master bathroom adored black marble print large tile with Matt light wood looking tile on floor and walls.
The project challenges: timeline and budget . We were able to finish this project in just 2.5 months and budget was 5500 rs per sqft.
The best room have something to say about the people who live in them
