Concept: A Breath of Calm
Nestled high above the city, The Greige Horizon was designed for a family of five with a singular objective: to create a home that feels like a deep, collective breath. The design language avoids the noise of passing trends, opting instead for a “Quiet Luxury” approach where greige foundations meet high-energy color pops. The home serves as a bridge between Mumbai’s urban pulse and the lush stillness of the Sanjay Gandhi National Park, which is framed by every window.
Key Highlights
- Framed Vistas: The design prioritizes the “outside-in” experience, using expansive window openings to pull in natural light and the verdant greens of the National Park as a living backdrop.
- The Living Anchor: A neutral greige shell is elevated by a feature wall of dyed burl veneer and a bold teal sofa, creating a space that is as vibrant as it is serene.
- Adaptive Craftsmanship: In the Master Suite, spatial fluidity is maintained through a bespoke folding study desk, ensuring a functional workspace that disappears when it’s time to unwind.
- Layered Tradition: The parents’ room harmoniously integrates a dedicated Shrinathji altar, balancing traditional spiritual needs with modern, minimalist architectural lines.
- The Interactive Canvas: The children’s room moves away from “kiddie” aesthetics toward longevity and play, featuring a tactile boucle headboard, a creative peg-wall, and back-painted glass shutters that double as a whiteboard.
- Economical Sophistication: The custom dining table—a blend of tile and textured finishes—delivers a monolithic, high-design aesthetic through smart, disciplined execution.
